Run on my own to try and shake the lethargy I've been feeling all day. Really glad I did. Lovely run. Across the Downs and a loop around Ashton Court taking the Timberland Trail around half of it. Overtook several groups of MTBers on the trail. Couldn't tell whether they were all being crap or whether it's just faster on foot anyway. The woods at the far end are currently covered with swathes of blue bluebells and white garlics. Very picturesque.

Round airfield, Henbury, Blaise, Kings Weston, Shirehampton Golf Course, Sea Mills, Blaise, Henbury Golf Course, Westbury.

Started to feel tired in the last 15 mins.

First circuits session for a while. Organised by Coach Saunders in Jackie's absence. Gave the quads a proper beasting with all the leg exercises in a row. Good session though, followed by a map memory game.

Jog up to Airbus to get a lift with Keith to the FoD. Sweated an inordinate amount on the way.

Jog from the car park to the start of this week's training exercise, and back again after.

Orienteering 1:10:00 [3] 9.5 km (7:22 / km)
shoes: VJ Supra

Relay training based around the big slag of New Beechenhurst. Three loops of 12 controls and about 3km, everyone with different gaffles. First loop with a mass start, second loop starting on 30s intervals, fastest starting last. Third loop collecting the tapes in.

Great fun. Navigation seemed to be working for me tonight, apart from in one big area of felling that completely threw me. A great area to run in, and I feel I am finally beginning to get on top of the big slag - until now I've always got very lost up there.
