Final results 5th overall, 3rd male open.

Measured climb and distance and corrected log -- more than initial estimate.

O - competition race (High Sierra Nav-X) 23:05:00 [3] 58.5 km (23:41 / km) +2070m 20:07 / km

North American rogaining championships. Good run with Glen. Northern part of map for the first half, elevations up to 9,400'. Open pine forest with moderate deadfall and low brush, lots of climb and rocky ground. Ran okay with no gaiters. Sunday morning went west and south onto the exposed granite slabs.

Wasted about an hour unsuccessfully looking for control #91 in a small clearing amidst large undefined clearings. After that nailed a number of questionable controls, especially after dark when we could take advantage of the reflectors on the bag hangers.

Ended up with 2140 points, enough for 2nd in male vets, also winning super vet and ultra vet as only male entrants there. Not sure of overall standings yet.
