Guessing distance. What a yardsale. Ran home to disco, twice around the outer loop (going down stairs and along water north beach to south beach) with a brief extra beach run leg in there.

My legs are out of shape. Lungs felt much better thanks to visit to doctor yesterday, who gave me some better drugs. Legs felt lackluster for the first 70% of the run, tired for the next 20% and stick-a-for-in-we're-done for the last 10%.

I can't remember the last time that run would have tuckered me out so much. Couple of months ago I'd have finished this run by doing some yardwork. This time I was just glad to make it home to my family.

Muscle toughness is going to be really important at my IM in a month. This run might have kicked my ass today, but I'm going to make it a regular part of my week.

Speed work tonight. Easy run down to Seaview, then 4x 1 mile with first half easy second half fast. I'd like to think sub-seven pace, but jeeze has my turnover dropped. Good news is that my allergist appointment is tomorrow, so we can finally see about my lungs.
