Orienteering 50:00 [3]
shoes: vj's

Control hanging on Brereton Spurs for tonights training. Legs didn't want to! However, went out & walked for 90 minutes to put the rest out with Hols & they felt much better!

Orienteering race 29:57 [4]
shoes: vj's

Short green back on Tyrella South in the mixed ad hoc relay with Hols & Stodge. Clean, legs reasonably happy to run (felt strongest all weekend!) & 2nd fastest time of the day on my gaffle :o). Pulled us up from 70th to 54th.

Slieve Croob. Steady but tried to keep running & managed on all but the steepest ups. No mistakes (was pretty straightforward navigation) and extended my lead to take the W35S "title", complete with embarassing prize giving! Happy to have been fastest Brit on course 12 (W35S & W40S).

Orienteering race 56:55 [3]

Tyrella South. A dodgy route choice to number 2 where it didn't quite look how I was expecting, & otherwise clean until the penultimate control where i stopped using contours & allowed myself to be distracted be everybody else (despit giving myself a talking to on the way in about concentrating & focusing!).
BTW, can anyone tell me how this course fits the criteria to be TD1? https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_dnuoCcaVeyk/Tbc...
Proud of Hols!

Event: JK 2011

Orienteering race 22:38 [5]
shoes: Adidas Response Light

JK sprint around Stranmillis uni campus. Lots of short legs around buildings, up & down stairs with lots of twists & turns. Few seconds lost when I bumped into Hols looking for my number 11 (tricky for a W10!), and then later I had a moment of muppetry & tried to navigate from 20 to 22 without punching 21, even though I ran within 2 metres of the control. Noticed before I got to 22, but a total time loss of 90 seconds or so on a 20 minute course is not good!
