Sadly, I still felt the lactic acid in my thighs big time stemming from my last 'massive' run. The HVHTA was really slippy so I bailed 1/2 way out and did a different loop through neighbourhoods. Rainy was warm temp out for a trail run.
Rode up to Bash & Bent's to hang out with the Blaze Run crew. The scene was pretty relaxed as the runners were pretty bagged from running up to 70 km each over the last 48 hours. Lots of trail still to go but the 1/2 way point had been reached so all 'downhill' from there...
On the Rideau Canal with PhattyJR. The portage throught the neighbourhood, across traffic, and over the rail into the river was good fun...and made a few heads turn. Awesome weather day in Otts.
Up into the Gats with PhattyJR, doing my best to keep up. Technical trails at Fortune were epic (and humbling) and the 29'er rolled over it all no worries.
