Road Cycling (Floreat renegade) 1:26:15 [3] 45.15 km (1:55 / km)
shoes: Giant TCR Advanced

After being up most the night coughing and having Johns farewell ride this morning, plus having to drop a wheel off to a KillaAvon competitor who left it behind, i decided to cruise the ride as best as possible.

The plan startedd with everyone forcing Andre to the front straight away to remind him that there are other place to be at in a peleton than the back!! I set my goal to sit towards the back for the ride and take no part in front riding position.

Rode in a comfortable range until Chris upped the pace near the cop shop in Cott. MY throat reminded me that something was brewing inside which would be detrimental to my health.

On the way to the first real climb i indicated to John i was shortcutting ht efirst climb to lesson the stress on my body and would meet the group at the top of the second climb. Plan worked well and i continued with group through to UWA before doing a 100m effort on the front before having to also shut down an early attack from Shanel.

It was a good farewell ride for Tooms and Chris also learnt what its like to be a team player when he towed me up the lemnos rd climb.
