Orienteering race 1:10:00 [4]

Ogden Badge Event, felt OK after yesterday. Careful on my ankle on the steep bits in the woods.
Really enjoyed it!

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

to the start and back

Saturday Jan 24, 2009 #

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]

jogging the course and a bit of warm up, warm down consisted of jogging back from where I dropped out...

Running race 12:00 [5]

Norther XC St Helens, felt sick in my tummy (maybe the pre race choc milk - only a mouthful, and jelly babies - only a couple!) so pulled out after a lap and a bit.

Meant I got to see the Hallamshire girls all run really really well to take the Gold though!

Orienteering 45:00 [3]

2 uphill mini courses on Beeley taking it in turns to do legs with Lizzie and Piret

then (after the run) 3 trains each of us ran well under pressure to win the train where we started first!

Big thank you to Rach for map printing and control hanging.

Running 35:00 [3]

Run from Beeley to Wharnecliffe and around and back (keeping out of the way of downhill mtbers) with Lizzie and Piret in the middle of the orienteering session.

Climbing 30:00 [1]

Bouldering at the works with KC and new expert Rach, I was probably a bit too tired!

Saturday Jan 17, 2009 #

Running 1:34:00 [3]

Lovely run in the peaks with Rach, Liz and Kelly. White and Froggatt edges and then I got us a bit lost in Longshaw as we went down to Grindleford and back up to make the run long enough.
Very impressed with the weather despite the forecast.

Note

Really tired after the run (mind you it's probably the longest run I've done in ages) so had a nice long nap as I've got a hen do to attend tonight...

Friday Jan 16, 2009 #

Climbing 1:00:00 [1]

down the foundry with Hilary - she's a good coach and I was concentrating so hard I completely forgot to be scared of heights for most of the time.

Right arm got very tired belaying though...

Thursday Jan 15, 2009 #

Note
(rest day)

Went to see the nutcracker in the evening - really good!

Wednesday Jan 14, 2009 #

Climbing 1:15:00 [1]

down the works with the girls again, doing some hard ones this week - KC was very impressive tonight and MrsB's going to overtake us all in no time!

Mind you Hilary and I have a secret training session planned for Fri!

Tuesday Jan 13, 2009 #

Running 35:00 [2]

jog home from work - slowly, more due to the amount of maltesers I'd eaten this afternoon than my ankle which actually felt pretty OK...

Monday Jan 12, 2009 #

Note
(injured) (rest day)

ankle stiffening up a bit as I sit at work but felt OK jog/walking down here

Sunday Jan 11, 2009 #

Orienteering race 35:00 [4]

Most of the Blue course at Tankersley but twisted my ankle at the end of the butterflies which was annoyingly right at the far end of the map. Hobbled back and it seems OK after some ice and rest.
Was really enjoying it so a bit disappointed.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3]

bit of a warm up - people kindly saved me a place in the queue at the start!

Note
(injured)

went over on R ankle

Saturday Jan 10, 2009 #

Cross Country race 25:45 [5] 6.0 km (4:18 / km) +90m 4:00 / km

Yorkshires at Kimberworth Park Rotherham. The Hallamshire girls ran really well - 1,2,6,8,10 etc I ended up in the d team.

Just wanted to get round really so didn't push it really hard (but still pushed it hard!) and felt pretty OK.

Not looking forward to the Northerns and Nationals...

Running warm up/down 30:00 [3]

warm up with Rach and Jenn and down with various team mates

It was really cold - the ground was frozen solid.

Friday Jan 9, 2009 #

Note
(rest day)

feeling OK just the trace of a headache

Thursday Jan 8, 2009 #

Running 30:00 [3]

Home from work, bumped into Oli for the last 100 yds or so after a brief chat with Rich.

Note
(sick)

feeling a bit weird this evening - first had a funny flashing light thing in the corner of my eye and now have a headache across my forehead.

Lying in bed seems to make it all feel a lot better though so I'll stick to that. Probably been working too hard (!?) so since I have a day off tomorrow I should be OK...

Oli thinks it is all a ploy to get out of washing up!

Wednesday Jan 7, 2009 #

Climbing 1:15:00 [2]

Climbing with Kel, Hils, MrsB, Kim and the lads. Did another Blue (8 now?) and my first ever brown!
