Finally a BAOC meet at Annadel after 9 years. It seems that the CA financial mess worked in our favor, as Sonoma County has taken over the park administration from the State. The ranger that was giving us the cold shoulder for so many years is no longer in the picture. Long time club member Judy Koehler worked tirelessly to nail down permission for this one event. We will have to see about future years.

After working the e-punch table for 2 hours,the 30 min climb up to the start, really exhausted me. But once I got going I was feeling a bit better. Had significant 2-3 min errors on 2 controls. This mostly had to do with forgetting that much of the light green at Annadel is Manzanita. In my weakened state this stuff is hard to push through. So I zigzagged around whereever I could find an open place to walk.

Overall, however, I navigated well, hitting all the hidden pit controls right on. Great to be back here in splendid weather with family & friends.

Four mile run/jog with Leslie in Tilden. Alternating 1 minute walk/1 minute jog. Time is about the same as I did two months ago. Still not seeing much progress since September. Maybe some more consistency is needed.
