Wednesday Dec 31, 2014 #

walk 57:00 [1] 7.0 km (8:09 / km)

Great morning for a walk, calm and clear. Resisted the temptation to break into a jog

Tuesday Dec 30, 2014 #

walk 52:30 [1] 6.3 km (8:20 / km)

Very windy.

Monday Dec 29, 2014 #

walk 49:00 [1] 6.0 km (8:10 / km)

Along The Strand and then down Melbourne Rd and home. Very windy, which made it a bit unpleasant. Less than a week to go.

Sunday Dec 28, 2014 #

walk 49:00 [1] 6.0 km (8:10 / km)

Another brisk walk. Went through Jawbone reserve. Very peaceful early in the morning

Saturday Dec 27, 2014 #

walk 42:00 [1] 5.1 km (8:14 / km)

Stepped up the pace, so decided it was worth logging.

Friday Dec 26, 2014 #

Note

Took the neighbours dog for a brisk walk.

Thursday Dec 25, 2014 #

Note

Brisk walk. Christmas Day run is one of my favourites, but not today. Counting down the days until Monday week.

Tuesday Dec 23, 2014 #

Note

A positive visit to the surgeon, with a good report card. No running for another 2 weeks, which is what I had expected, so no real complaints there. Walking was a lot more comfortable today, so another plus.

Sunday Dec 21, 2014 #

Note

Daily walk now out to 5 k. Post surgery appointment tomorrow, which should give a time frame for return to running.

Wednesday Dec 17, 2014 #

Note

Feeling a bit better each day, so pleased with progress. Regular walk each day.

Monday Dec 15, 2014 #

Note

3 k walk this morning. Slowly extending the distance.

Saturday Dec 13, 2014 #

Note

Extended the morning walk a bit, but slow. The hardest part is getting comfortable. Stomach feeling some improvement on yesterday.

Friday Dec 12, 2014 #

Note

Recovery day 4. They encourage you to start walking straight away, so even on day 1 walked around the corridor of the hospital. Today did 1.5k walk at a steady slow pace. Will plan for another 1.5 this evening. Can now cough without it being too painful, and feeling a bit less bloated. but catheter is really irritating. Fortunately the cricket is on the TV, so I can relax and watch, otherwise it could get very boring.
