Out with Stephen. On same loop as J-J did last week, as I had never done that version. Not as fast at all as J-J did. I was pulling Stephen along most of the time. Pushed him to wear his soccer cleats for the snow and ice, but it's obvious he needs larger shoes. Maybe that will help the next outing.

First time with a map in the woods in a long time. Didn't quite know what I was doing, and definitely realized that I need to do something about my poor vision. It's hit a critical point. Lost quite a bit of time all over the place. Not the best outing with the family, but at least we all got into the woods for a while.

My frustration with the current weather cycle is extreme. The constant 2-4 inches of slush on the trails around my house are really discouraging me from getting out. This has been going on for a month! I preferred the -10 degree weather when I could use the snowshoes and keep my feet dry! Wish I had signed up for a health club or could drive somewhere out of this weather to something decent.

Northfield, Highland, Turkey Hill, Cushing Lane loop. Nice to have my heart rate up due to exercise instead of panic. Saw a few new spots in Lunenburg.
