A disaster of a race near Phoenix. Firstly, the map was incredibly rough around the edges to the point where simple terrain reading was difficult (half the map had 20 foot contours and the other half had 40 foot for some reason?) The running was not made easier by the deadly cacti that loomed around every corner. This was not a fast race.

A desert orienteering course outside of Phoenix with some interesting maps and manual punches. This race was actually a lot of fun.

Race at Summit Trails. 1 BAD mistake (so bad). Cost a few minutes. One route choice that coast another minute. Too timid for CKPTS 1-5 for sure. Probably could have cut 4 minutes off on a perfect event. Not bad, but beat by @bigwillystyle on my home course.

Speed rating above 100 again. Like that.

7 miles and hills. Injury alert. Same pain in foot as I had a.5 years ago that forced me out of shape for 6 months. Hopefully it goes away. Taking it easy for a few days at least.
