Running 1:45:18 intensity: (26:45 @1) + (1:04:14 @2) + (14:19 @3) 20.11 km (5:14 / km) +353m 4:49 / km
ahr:137 max:161

Another solid long run, was very thankful it was just above freezing and only snow on the ground above ~250m. Legs feeling average, calves getting a bit tight, quads a bit tired, but felt decent fitness wise. 6:45 for the week after missing some on Tuesday, not looking forward to the coming week being perma-frozen either, priority 1 is don't get injured, anything near 7 hours I'll be happy with.

Running 1:00:49 intensity: (24:00 @1) + (35:24 @2) + (1:25 @3) 10.59 km (5:45 / km) +261m 5:07 / km
ahr:131 max:152

On the moors in some pretty minging weather. Raining at home, but quickly turned to snow higher up and was sticking above ~300m, and below that it was just incredibly wet. Stayed warm going uphill but then coming downhill got quite cold, and fingers numb from about halfway. I haven't missed that slightly nauseous feeling you get with mild hypothermia, unwelcome throwback to YHJS training days and junior football matches.

Running 1:15:00 intensity: (13:38 @1) + (29:51 @2) + (19:09 @3) + (12:22 @4) 15.33 km (4:54 / km) +119m 4:43 / km
ahr:145 max:176

6 x 2:30 (1) at threshy with fairly long WU/D. Avg about 3:40s.

Legs feeling good bar some slightly tired quads and it was nice to run fast. Achilles feeling grand too. Also got a very cheeky comment of "keep going" from an elderly lady as I was taking my thermal off before the session.

ahr:132 max:164

42.9k, +930m, 22.2kph

Most of the snow has melted but still some slush kicking about at the sides of the roads, plus it was a bit misty higher up, so decided to stick to Cragg Rd (and only up to the start of the moor). 3 times up, then branched out for a Scout Rd climb, then another Cragg. Didn't feel like too much effort and time passed ok, about 5 or 6° which seems to be just about warm enough to be comfortable. Not forecast to get above 3° for about 10 days after tomorrow, fantastic.

ahr:138 max:160

Waited til the afternoon in the hope that the snow would melt, and thankfully it had on the cycle path and canal. Still about 3 degrees and raining but layered up and plodded on.

Running 42:38 intensity: (21:08 @1) + (19:30 @2) + (2:00 @3) 7.26 km (5:53 / km) +120m 5:26 / km

About 6-8 inches of snow overnight, obviously not ideal for the achilles. Did a bit on the main road but got plastered in slush by a few lorries so then jogged back on the cycle path which was slippy and slushy. Shorter than the planned 70-75 + intervals but no worries, main thing was the achilles felt fine. Got a fairly bad L patella twinge after the initial descent but settled down ok eventually.

Recovery monday, everything frozen so a bit harder than ideal underfoot but there was some glorious sunshine.
