Pressendye, The Soach (CP80) and queens view. Lots of walking through very very deep snow up in the high bits but the blue bird day made up for it. For the most of it the trails weren’t too bad, enough XC ski tracks to run for bits but mostly was a bit of a slog. Had planned to come off the back of The Soach and round the hill and back up to Pittenderich but no way could I have gotten up, the single track trail was non existent, snow up to my waist. So just carried on the big track down to the horse riding place (bumped into Esther and Ruth Gooch) and did the long road run past Queens view back to Tarland. Wasn’t so bad on the road, nice and quick downhill. Home for a big plate of blueberry oat pancakes with all the toppings!!

Into banchory and home again to drop some knitting needles off at my aunties, plus avoiding all the snow and ice by sticking to the gritted roads and pavements

Lethal underfoot conditions on the trails across the road down to the Dee. Fresh powder snow on top of sheet ice is a scary combo, had a bad fall hit my bum and head but luckily was ok, just a bit of a bump.

Nice chatty one with Ciara and Molks on the Scolty trails out to shooting greens and then back along the river/blackhall way. Icy in bits but mostly fine underfoot.
