Model map course at Grey Mt, Whitehorse. Lovely terrain... Jet lagged legs and brain! Met Anne and Alex T in the woods :)

Running intervals 46:49 [4] 7.84 km (5:58 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel-Kayano 22

3 km warm up, the 3 x 100m (pacing) with 80% rec , then 2 x 200m with 80% rec, then ~1.5 km O-jog, then 2 x 100m with 80% rec (using a hilled part of the parkway for each), then warm-down jog to Alpine. From the bottom of the hill, did a 'Go control' little sprint up the gravel hill and onto Ivanhoe to Pat's driveway. I had intended to 'go' it all the way up the hill, but a city cherry picker truck blocked the path!!! :(
Muggy, but a fun O-simulation for me :)
Achilles was no problem - knock on wood!

Walking 1:30:00 [2] 7.5 km (12:00 / km)
shoes: Merrell Ventilator-types

Walk with Sandra to Britannia beach, around the Brit neighbourhood, and back. Crikey it was hot and muggy!
Right achilles a bit tender afterwards. Did some stretching along with a modified Fit 450 Knee Ex session when I got back. Stretching/rolling calves helps the achilles. (Is this like cow-tipping?)

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3] 6.26 km (14:23 / km)
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3

Practice O-ing at P5, using Erik K's 2017 inter and short adv maps. I did a hybrid course that I put together with the two maps. Worked on everything! I also took opportunities to just plain run back and forth along trails to get in some cardio. Used the hill back to the parking lot as a pretend Go control for a nice little sprint!
Andrew, Francis and I each did our own things, so I was effectively alone in th woods talking out loud to let the bears know that there was a crazy lady on the move - watch out! (There was a "bears in the area" alert posted in theparking lot.)
Right achillies was OK for the most part, but it's achy when I'm just sitting around.
