orienteering 48:25 [4] 8.0 km (6:03 / km)

im not sure why i found this so hard, and im not sure why my hammies got so tight, but this was an urban race around north adelaide. only made one pretty big mistake leaving the botanic gardens where i didnt see a non existent crossing (turns out it was a 2m high fence and on the map was the black line of a vegetation boundry)

very hard to get into this today maybe it has something to do with having lack of sleep after having a nightmare that there was a rat in my bed and then waking up standing next to the door. I thereafter began searching for the non existance rat in the bed.

this one hurt a bit, took me 30mins to get into it. I however took 5 mins off this loop from the last time i did it.

OY event at Worlds End. course 2 was about 8.2km. ran ok but was far too right in route choice to 5. Pushed it from 7 onwards as i wanted to get under 70mins

I went to tothill for the first time today. It was a ridiculous map and course. So so steep and thick. 6 was a bit iffy and I wasted alot of time on it.the boulders were kinda hard to see. Oh well.

today consisted of putting out controls for the bearing exercise , shadoing charlotte on the course, doing the 3 and half control picking exercises and then putting out the controls for the camp champs.

today consisted of putting out the controls for the 5.6km relocation exercise, running the relocation exercise shadowing kids on the way, putting out controls for the star relay and then shadowing kids on two legs, then collecting controls.

I woke up this morning with a sore lower back. I thought that it would ease up if I walked around for the day and by midday it was ok. Only hurt to bend over. I went for a run to find thst going up and especially down hills aggravates it alot. Now it hurts more and im lying on the.floor with a hot water bottle on my back. I dont know if this will help it but its so warm

At vixen gully where the schools event was last year. Imade few mistakes around 3 control circles. But I thought I was running pretty well. I did the red 1 today for a long run. I got back feeling pretty good about my run and then got totally shut down when I started talking to people(still not getting faster I guess) So now I dont feel good about orienteeting again.
