EUOC Big Weekend Long
Felt pretty tired the whole way round this, but started struggling mainly coming into the park at Duddingston just couldn't get much life into my legs. Alison Campbell caught me going back up the hill on the seat and our small chat and her inspiration High School Musical singing lifted my spirits through the rest.
Got a bit distracted on one of the controls on the top, so lost a bit of time searching, and got confused at no.3 of the 1:1,000 bit, but other than that no mistakes really
Apparently I mp'd the last control....

EUOC Big Weekend Urban
Wanted to use this as a kind of test of my fitness, but not sure coming into this with tired legs was great preparation...
Think my route choice on the long leg was quite good (except missed a bit right at the end which would have avoided the hill), and I was moving quite well throughout. Saw Lucy (started 5 minutes ahead) on a few loops so knew I was slightly ahead time wise. My only mistake came at 18 where I mistook no.19 and no.16 on the map so started heading off over to 16 - lost maybe 1min?
Really enjoyed this, and pretty happy, but there was more to give I think

Harriers Winter Loop with Kirsty
This was meant to be 60 minutes, but my legs have been feeling really tired all day (probably unsurprisingly after the last few days), so thought I'd not do the extra bit to save them a little for the weekend.
Legs felt bad throughout and began to feel pretty hungry mid-way

Feeling good, seemed to be able to get some good speed up. Compass was pretty accurate which is encouraging after the exercises at the weekend.

Wearing the wrong shoes as I'd thought it was police hills...
Warm-up trying to avoid my biology teacher's questions about how revision was going

40min Fartlek (all efforts between 30secs and 2 mins)
Feeling pretty good so stuck with Iain for the first 15 minutes, until he opened a small gap and I just couldn't pull it back. Then ran with Paul H for the rest. Tough session but seemed to be running pretty well, but my (mainly)left calf got tight near the end - seems to be a recurring problem at the moment....

Cool down with Paul
