Not feeling like a long run this weekend, so substituted with a ride. Not really feeling the training love at the moment. Maybe I need to head out to the Dandenongs or somewhere else nice again.

Got massively lost in Bundoora Park again (and like last time, I didn't actually need to go there at all). Severe lack of signage in parts along the Darebin path!

Wasn't very good at starting my watch after stopping it.

Legs were pretty sore and very slow. Even struggling on the foam roller because my wrists hurt.

Fairly slow and short warm up, slightly more warm down. I'm not convinced that riding to Parkrun is the best prep...

Was nice and cool riding to Parkrun, but the Sun came out when I got there.

Had a lady sit on my shoulder from about 2km to just before 4km when she told me to go for it. Then she outsprinted me at the finish! She had kept me going at a good honest pace though.

I think I psyched myself out of going any faster. Will have to try again in a month or so.

No Bakers there, which meant I was slower, AND made a poor choice for my café stop.

Haven't quite got the hang of remembering to charge the Garmin.

After the big group last week, this time only Kez, Liis and I made it out. I was feeling pretty unenergetic. Just cruised along the trails up the river, with a couple of hill intervals thrown in.

Early morning bike with Claire. Home > Boulevard, 2 laps, and rolled into work.

Bit of a case of Claire and the tortoise (apart from the bit where the tortoise wins). Pushed pretty hard on the first hill, and struggled for the rest :) I need more gears. Nice morning for it.

Bendigo 2-day hagaby.

Had kind of been told on Friday not to race at the weekend, which makes a good excuse because my legs didn't want to race anyway!

Aim for the day was to make myself read the map on the run, which I did pretty well at.

Kept a fairly steady pace for the whole race, and didn't feel like I was tiring at the end too much. Had a bit of trouble finding pits and depressions.

Plod around the park in Kangaroo Flat. Wasn't really feeling it and wasn't really reading the map much. Thought I might have gone out of bounds on the way to 9, but I'm going to take Simon's word for it that I didn't.

Paarlauf session round the ovals at Studley Park. Ran with Dion. The legs were feeling super slow and it was a bit of a struggle. Although seemed to ease into it a bit.

Intervals twice in one week hasn't happened for a while.

Was a bit late home because of work drinks, and it was a bit windy so didn't really feel like riding. Made myself do exercises as penance.

Running intervals (Clara fartlek) 16:02 intensity: (8:00 @3) + (8:02 @4) 3.05 km (5:15 / km) +5m 5:13 / km

Motivation level was 0 for this. Was in a bit of an angry mood all day, and felt like lying in bed, reading a book and eating zucchini brownie when I got home. Just did the zucchini brownie bit, then went out for a run.

Felt better when I was doing the hard intervals (which often happens).

Right hip a little sore.

Long run from home to Collingwood station along the Merri/Yarra.

Sun was on my face on the way over to the creek, but must have gone under soon after.

Legs were a bit sore at the start but settled into it. Really nice to get on some trails at the end, after trying to keep off concrete as much as possible during the run. Can cover quite a bit of ground if you don't have to finish where you started!

Ridiculously sweaty and gross on the train on the way home.

Bit of a nothing session, but enjoyed it. Rolled up the creek to Jukes Rd and came back through Fawkner. Stopped at Bunnings and the Batman Market on the way home.

Le Tour de Merri (north). Up the creek to the Ring Road, west, then back along my old route home from work. Had a very close encounter with a flock of rainbow lorikeets!

Legs feeling ok, but been getting very tight across the back of my shoulders when I'm riding for a while. Thought it might have just been on Conchita, but was feeling it on the purple peril as well.
