Athletics race (1500m steeplechase) 6:16 [5] 1.5 km (4:11 / km)

So I ran a steeplechase and it wasn't that bad actually! Kinda owned the hurdles/barriers ngl;) but the water jump omg haha was interesting! But I made it, and there were only 2 of my age group running so j came 2nd so got major points for the team.

And I looked on power of ten and my time puts me 11th in the SW and about80th in the country which is better than my ranking for 300flat!!!!

Basically I ran a shocker! But I had run before in the 'chase (as the pros call it haha) so I was a tad whacked;) so yeah I was a second and a half slower than my PB! But a solid third place so not too bad:)

Had a bit of a shocker in this as well but I came second to a very class athlete. Only the second time I've raced in this event so second fastest time ever haha;)

Athletics race (400m in medley relay) 1:00 [5] 0.4 km (2:30 / km)

So I had to run the 400m leg and so so so so happy because I had a flyer and got the team off to a really good start and I'm so happy because I ran really well and yeah I'm so happy! And btw we won the relay overall because everyone had cracking relay legs:)

It was a funny format because as the first leg, I started on the 800m staggered start because we broke lanes after the first 100. So it was pretty tense but the other girls were pretty far behind which was odd because one of them has a 300 time which is about a second faster than mine.

Anyway, really chuffed with how it went and overall not a bad day at the office:)

Mum has just roped me in to doing the 1500m steeplechase for Harriers tomorrow. She be like you hurdle and run and I be like -____- me no run. But I run. D:

Oh yeah and so that means that I will most probably be running a 200m leg of the relay as I'll be a bit tired;) no not really- it's because this other woman is going and she's a bit of a boss at 400 so it's better if she runs it instead!!

Final sprint training session before sunday. Looking forward to running in the sprint hurdles as there is no pressure on me to do well, so it should be fun. Also competing in the 300m flat and the 400m leg of the medley relay (2x200m, 1x400m and 1x800m which is so fab!). Very excited:)

Realised that I was running the sprint hurdles on Sunday in the South West Cup so had some pretty serious sprint hurdle training to do! Bearing in mind I haven't run sprint hurdles since April hahaha:') but everything went well, and technically I'm feeling pretty good over the hurdles :D
