Cycling 40:00 [3]

Cycle to Youlbury with Kat

Cycling 30:00 [2]

Back from Youlbury via Univ Sports Ground, time freewheeling not logged. Kat > if you think those downhills are scary, wait 'til you get to the top of Shotover!!

Note

Time at Youlbury spent looking over map for Summer Series event. The map seems to have reached the stage where the base path network is slightly out and this has affected the positioning of everything else - things don't seem OK relative to what is immediately around them, but look a bit further than that and it doesn't match up...

Note

Cricket session at Univ Sports Ground - slight drizzle in the air and very green pitch meant ball got very wet and slippery quite quickly. Would be nice to have an extended bowl at one point soon, couldn't get in any sort of rhythym today - kept on overpitching then dragging it short... No real exercise involved :)

Running (Warm-Up/Down) 25:00 [2]
shoes: Brooks

Some jogging and stretching before/after run. Didn't feel great during the warm-up...

Running (Time Trial) 12:49 [4] 3.0 km (4:16 / km)
shoes: Brooks

Port Meadow 3km loop. Felt awful shortly in, had to ease off a bit. Didn't push it very hard really, but it's a baseline to work to over the coming weeks. Will try to run it at least every other week - it's not like a track run as there are so many undulations along the path which makes it harder to keep an even pace. The ground is pretty hard already though - cracks in the dry earth - knee and shin complained a little, but then again so did the rest of the body...

Everything is turning green at last - but this also means vegetation/undergrowth on the ground. The nettles are poking through already :( Plenty of butterflies around, and one patch of trees all out in blossom was beautiful.
