BOK Saturday series, worlebury woods, Green. First time to Worlebury; may be my last . Grim slopes, undergrowth, and vague paths in green that kinked & wandered, coupled with a rather unfocussed / "lazy" attitude, dapply sunlight in the woods making seeing the pale orange controls rather tricky. Hamstring gave me jip after I stumbled & nearly fell over, saving myself but tweaking the leg in the process.
No 1 - in right -ish place, but not quite at the crag, on a nasty slope/mud / unmarked path... - map not very good here; no 6 - hard to see pale orange flags in dapply sunny woods, no 9 - sloppy leaving 8 and distracted by another runner; biggest cock up to 13 where there were so many paths, got on a "wrogn" one then struggled (with no help from another competitor, who was insisting we'd overshot - we hadn't, we'd undershot) to relocate, which eventually I did. Then missed path to last control - by which time I didn't care anymore. I've won the series, tho , I guess, and I am grateful to BOK volunteers & Phil Warry (series co-ordinator) for their efforts.
