Score Orienteering race (Street Race) 1:00:36 [4] ** 12.11 km (5:00 / km)

Felt great. Ran hard. The shoes feel excellent. My strategy was poor though, resulting in quite a lot of dead running and missing out on an area with lots of points, so I did relatively poorly. Huge turnout - 95 runners, our biggest ever.

Route attached - ignore timings. Tip - as this was an OpenOrienteeringMap, you can see the actual map online - click on the world icon, then click on "OSM" on the top right and the tick the "OOM Street-O" button that appears just below it.

Incidentally as this was a very old mapped area - being very central - the quality of the source data (OSM) is quite poor in places. Numerous corrections were created. There is much debate in the OSM UK community at the moment about the negative community effect of bulk-importing data. I think it's also difficult to motivate the community to update the older areas, rather than adding new ones.
