Trail Run 1:20:11 [3]

Trail run at Watchung Reservation with PR. One more great day for running. These can't last, so better take good advantage of them. No major problems with this run, Some tightness in calves, but it went away as I loosened up. Wasn't reduced to a shuffle at the end, so that's a good thing. Wnet to the Devil's game afterwards and they won 6-1. It's all good.h

Orienteering Training 1:07:11 [3]

Setting streamers for a training course on Surebridge. Using an area they has not been used for orienteering. Nice area. Generally open with some blueberries, but containing sections of laurel that add a dimension of lower visibility/runnability. One control in particular was a good test and I had to spend some additional time making sure. Finished the first 3.1km course and couldn't figure out where the first controls of the second course were (forgot to draw lines). Hung a few streamers I was sure of.

Nice day. Cool and crisp.

Trail Run 1:30:11 [3]

Trail run on the southern part of South Mountain beginning in Millburn. The run started out very brisk and passing rain/snow showers, but got better as the day went along. Breathing hurt more today. Calves started tight, but loosened up and stayed loose for the run. a bit of pain in lower back. Nothing else. Didn't press this one too hard.

Note

First snow of the season. About 2-4 inches of wet, slushy mess. The weather went back and forth between rain and snow. No motivation to go out in this stuff. Try again tomorrow.

Trail Run 1:28:49 [3]

Trail run at Mahlon Dickinson Reseveration in Jefferson Township, NJ. Beautiful fall day for a run. Felt good early despite the new trail that was not great for running. Tightened up in the calves after about an hour, but loosened up about 10 minutes later. Pressing my luck going as long as I did and was reduced to a shuffle at the end (again). Still, keeping at it.
