From first glimpse, two things that I think could be potential improvements: 1) Entering an individual factor for the climbing (similar to what they do with the runnability), 2) Factoring the "ease of navigating" in the sense of running on trails can be less tricky than navigating in the woods while catching features. I guess that the latter is harder to come up with a model for.

Just think about the training, analyzing, teaching opportunities this thing is enabling. Somewhat similar to the change that chess supercomputers introduced to that field.

Really wonderful stuff, proving that OCAD is definitely not sitting on their butts waiting for OOM to catch up. I think "ease of navigation" should be included by assigning a slightly slower running speed. Maybe that could be done via the DEM: If it is very smooth then you get no help from the contours?
