EML Bradgate Park
very pleased with stamina, runnability was fast, but I was able to keep pushing to the end, a small miss 15m right of a pit and some sub-optimal micro-route choices

less pleased with contact lenses, took 10-15mins to get them in, it felt like one wasn't working, on the course, extra-long distance vision was soft, used the magnifier, would it have been any worse without them? I'm not sure

2nd, 3mins behind Ant Squire

trods and terrain from Moscar Cross road, path below John Field was a decayed overgrown embankment, slow through that section, but got my head down after that

what kind of animal is this?

for the sake of variety, parked outside the Druid, Birchover, and ran up the ridge to the moor then ran each of the six N-S paths once, took the map to see how my eyesight was with lenses, worse, but not dramatically, hmph

stuck the contact lenses in and took a map with me in the fading light: had to hold it very steady to make out the detail, used the magnifier as well, (not stunned by the transformation - will have to try the same with glasses for comparison), steady pace, faster at the end, calves a bit tight
