shoes: Ice Bugs Spirit

3 loops of an elimination 'race' at the AOA retreat at Alix. Must be the slowest TPKs on record! 1.8, 1.0 and 0.6km loops - but in deep snow... Took (approx) 22, 13 and 8 minutes (I think) However, after a day of sitting around and eating in between sessions it was good to get out. Frozen feet by the end. Great practice for Sprint Camp ;-)

tried to keep to tracked areas but even so had to cross som areas where I was up to my knees in white fluffy stuff. -18 when I started but not too much wind. Started my cool down then ran again - though the shoveling could be my cool down. not as much snow as yesterday, thank goodness.

a bit of fartlek, partly on trails and partly in soft snow (good for the proprioception!) High HR at first was due to the large breakfast I had had only an hour before.... HR of 185 - guess that makes me 41 (226 minus your age!) ;-)

10 x 1 minute hills going up Nose Hill. VERY windy. 1 min recovery. Times somewhat dictated by snow and ice
