Got to bed at 9:45 after finishing my paper. Took a while to fall asleep.

SS MTB 53:07 [3] 7.8 mi (8.8 mph) +1100ft

All but 1.4mi on dirt. Started at O SMith and took rd to Lower Corner Cyn. Felt awful at first, but body came around. Fun ride. Saw a snake. Good to just get out and not think about anything except staying upright. Could've gone longer but don't want to overdo it, and I want to send this weekend. So rad to have the night off from class.

Ok sesh. Worked a long pumpy 7. Flashed a soft 6 in the JV cave. It was fine. It felt good to move.

Hangboard 9:00 [4]

9 sets, 7 reps each 7:3 duty cycle, 3min rest
Last 2 sets were hard. I did a few sets starting on the sm edges and an offset (lg edge, sm edge) set, but mostly lg edge on beastmaker at the gym. Tried hard. Got it done. Nice job.

3.8mi on dirt on BST. Confidence increased as I went. Felt good to suffer on the climbs. Low skill and confidence on the trails though. Somehow didn't wreck myself. Fun ride.

Went to Teardrop, but it looked wet.
Beta burn on Syllogism
Redpt burn on Syllogism, got thru crux, fell after being too pumped to stick rt hand pocket jug above crux. Idk if I could've recovered enough to send the last crux section as I couldn't do it after having rested at the draw. Should be able to get it next trip there.

Pretty decent sesh with B. Felt kinda groggy the whole, but actually stronger than I've felt in there lately. Sent a hard orange 5, flashed a cool soft 6 on the 45. Did another crimpy 5 2nd go. Did some hard-ish moves on two 7s. Kinda psyched to go back and work on those.

Gray and a little rainy today, but it was actually nice to have time to do some other stuff. I took my bike into the shop and am going to get drop bars and hoods, so I can ride my bike to work and maybe get on the trails a little. Psyched for that.

Decent sesh. Flashed a 5, sent the hard black v5 proj 1st go. Did a bunch of 3s and 4s, working on climbing controlled and engaged core. Kinda fun. It didn't suck, which is good. 1st day with the club. 5 kids showed. Mellow.

2 or 3 hung Teardrop to put up the top draw, 11b, 5 burns on Teardrop. Best burn yet on 5th go, held the big move for a second before falling. Idk, man. I figured out a way to shake out a bit before doing the big move. Just gotta stick it. Still getting a lot of moves in. Fun day hanging out. I want to send but don't want to get hung up on it.

11b, 3 burns on Teardrop. Fell on big move on 3rd burn. So, best burn yet. I tried to send on my first burn, which is dumb. I got and kept a residual flash pump. I thought I was going to send on the 3rd go. Maybe I panicked a little as I felt the pump coming on. I'd have liked to have sent. But, then I'd just be thinking about the next route I want to do. Climbing...There is no freaking summit.

I think I can send it tmw. Proud of myself for not forcing another go and just calling it a day. I feel generally tired today but gave 'er a good fight. I also rested for 65min b/t 2 and 3rd go. Nice job. Psyched to go back tmw.

Started at Hardrock
wu 11b, send Dreadlocks 12b 2nd go after 1 hanging it 1st go. I tried it once last year (or year before that). Got on it today b/c draws were on it. Pretty cool. Climbed up to the crux to put a runner on it for B. So, 3 trips up Suicide Blonde today.
Then, we went to Syllogism. It was hot, and picnickers had a fire below. Bluh. Anyway, I finally did the moves over the roof I'd not done. Index and middle finger in the pocket over the roof. Need to sort out the beta for the rest of the route.

Hit Teardrop after that. Fell at the crux. Oh well. Beta is sorted. I just need to get on it fresh. Good day. I didn't want to leave and return to civilization. It'll be ok.

5 burns on Teardrop. 1st 2 were warm up-ish and felt kinda crappy. High point to sorting new beta on 3rd burn. Got to second last move of the crux on the 4th go (high point). I took b/c my right arm was totally flamed out. Fell on move off rt hand undercling on last burn. But, then climbed to the top from the beginning of the crux, which I'd not done before. So super good high and low points today. 1 hung it twice. Likely go back tmw. TBD. Skin a little wrecked but ok.

Really fun day. Hung with Rachel and Shadow and Sumo. Mellow vibes. Great to be outside in cooler temps. I feel really content right now. I want to send but am not obsessing. I have a lot going on, but it's good. Grateful.

Hmmm. Started out ok. Flashed 3 v5s and fell off the finish jug of a hard 5 I couldn't do last week. Then, I powered down big time, got kinda bummed. I left work hungry, likely not recovered from Mon. Work, school. A lot going on. I feel better about it now. Psyched to get back to AF.

At home after gym. I may skip the gym next week and do more of this stuff at home.

10x 5 pull ups every minute on the minute (total=50) on the large edge of the HB. I could do more but am being cautious about tendonitis.
3 sets core- leg lifts with twist x10, 2 x20 ab wheel.

Hot and mostly crappy rd jog. Got it done. A couple 30sec strides. 1 10sec hill sprint. A good reminder that it's worth driving to the trail.

wu 11b, beta burn on Teardrop 13a, send Something Wild 12d 3rd burn of day. Hallelujah. Man, that thing is hard. I can't believe I was trying it in June. Cooler temps today helped, but wow. Hard. Psyched to have it done.
2 more burns on Teardrop, plus 1/2 way up on TR to grab the bottom draws. I think I can do it next time there. Solid day. Skin and body are wrecked.
