Hike (Sunol Regional Wilderness) 1:20:00 [3]
shoes: Under Armour preview

I am really not quite sure why I had a plane ticket out to San Jose on Sunday morning, arriving before noon..... I have a conference out here this week but the sum total of what absolutely needs to be done tomorrow is buying cookies, checking out my meeting room. And planning rest of the week.

I tried to change to arrive at night and the change fee was $1000 (AAACKK) which is a lot, even to 3M so I sucked it up and enjoyed myself in CA parks.
This park, like so many, has very steep trails. I cannot run up endless super steep (40 foot contour) trails, so I mostly walked up and slowly jogged down.
Highlight was definitely the rattle snake I saw, when i stopped by some rocks, was wondering what would happen if i dropped my phone in the gopher hole, and saw the snake. (As seen on FB!!!!) And that spooked me enough that during my run I jumped back at a few branches on the ground that were posing as snakes. I realize there are always snakes around, I'd just rather not think about them. Snakes should find much better hiding places, imo.
