Beallach na Ba, walked out to a Corbett with main group then started to run back, all others bailed out because of rocks so S and I carried on along ridge to N and back to hostel. Amazing rock and broken round then some lovely running along the crest of the ridge, then a peat bog...
Legs tired at start and never really got going well. Stuffed by end.

Up 2 Munros with S from Achnashellach. Decent track to start with but very steep in parts then onto ridge and wind got up, both summits had snow and hail... not in the forecast. Pretty screwed by the end.

Too tired to do exercises ohh, and got stuck into the red wine as soon as we arrived at hostel...

Out with EC from Kinker to Lumphanan, Traland, cafe stop for drink and a cake :-), Aboyne, south Deeside to Potties and back. Very enjoyable day - lots of sunshine and the strong wind never seemed to be badly in our faces :-)

With KC & SC from Cambus bridge car park, up tracks and then terrain to top of Cnoc Dubh, down to col and then along in forest to north of power line. Running short of time so straight back guru C and along railway line.
Mostly pleasant running underfoot - will do this again, could extend it further west to Tullich or back through Cambus to east end.
Good to catch up and just about hung on to the (easy) pace.

A bit of a surprise - E wanted to do the Banchory fun-run and S was running elsewhere, so went long and entered myself as well. Started really slowly and eased into it, actually felt OK up Corsee Road (a first ever) then started to push a little on long gradual descent. Held good till the Platties then suddenly it wasn't good and I felt sick and completely out of breath, lost 8 places in last 400m. Still it was a good cobweb blower.

Up Bennachie, managed to run almost all the way - albeit very slowly at times. Breathing a bit wheezy at start but seemed to ease off.

Tullich grave yard to home via Cambus, Cnoc Dubh, Muir of Dinnet, Dinnet, Deeside Way then off to north of A93 through there wilderness, Balnagowan, Tarland Way, over shoulder of Mortlach and Deeside Way to finish. Great run, felt heavy legged at start but plodded along. Lovely forest in Cambus/Muir of Dinnet. Strted to tire by Balnagowan - checked watch (for first time) 2 hours. Had an energy bar and a sip of water then continued. Right hip flexor got tweaky during last 20-25 minutes but nothing else really hurt. left calf- not a trace :-)

DNC Balmedie
First DNC of the season. Running was dreadful ;- legs stuffed from exercises and yesterday's intervals, esp up hill in terrain - and there was lots of that in the dunes...
Navigation was mostly OK, but struggling to read map a bit. Map in the blow-out areas is shockingly wrong - whole hills moved, appeared, disappeared...
Lost 3 mins at No6 and then some more at 9, 12 etc.

Fartlek round Dess Woods with S (weather too minging to be on the railway line!). 8 intervals of varying length, but most fairly long. Felt I was struggling leg speed wise - possibly combination of pilates and running club yesterday. Stuck in and felt strong on hills - at least till near the end when I struggled a bit.

sitting on my heels is much better on the left knee now - had a lot of tightness behind the knee recently - another benefit of glute exercises?

Aboyne Ac running club. 18 out plus RC and IW. Out to castle sounds and some sprints plus man-hunt then back. Lovely evening sky with late after-glow of sunset. Hardly needed the head torch.
Very brisk warm-up and some sprinting but no trace of calf problems.

shadowing JG. Pace was mostly reasonable (apart from when things got a little competitive near end with OS!). Good routes and nice steady flow.
Keppernach - lovely forest.
Lucked out with weather and the forests for the weekend were fantastic. Many thanks to Mor and Invoc for letting ScotJOS use them.

jogging around following groups round Trains exercise in Clubbing East.
Fantastic forest - must be one of the most pleasant in the world for this sort of session!).
Legs a bit tied from yesterday but no problem at all from calf.

Night-O at Roseisle, lovely course by LK with reflectors (touched each reflector).
Lovely evening through a little breezy at car park by Burghead and some heavy rain en-route. Set out to enjoy myself and loved it, missed about 1 min at 1 (too far along track and doubled back over hill), 6 - too far right but relocated fairly quickly (another minute) and then 10 - misread contours, misread line and then overshot to track - must have been within 10m of flag...
Lovely forest for night-O - Mor are so lucky to have such technical but runnable terrain!

Left calf still totally fine.

Dinnet railway intervals with S. Set out to do 5x4+2 but cut last one, 3rd was really tough (trying to catch S) and then 4th was pretty desperate, good call I think. Left calf fine - didn't feel a thing from it :-)
