Pre breakfast trot along the canal and back in Ripon, with J.

With J from Ripon out through the woods towards Studley Royal and back the other side of the river. Turning into a lovely day and feeling good.

Running intervals 20:00 [5]

10 x 1' + 1' on a flattish section of path below Studley Royal. Fastest I've run in a while. Quality. Almost feeling like a runner again.

Stretching 15:00 [1]

Decided the warm down to Abba in the Market square hadn't really done much for stiffness, so managed a late night stretch too.

Saw Le Tour whizz past on the Ripon bypass- lots of hanging about, then blink and you miss it!

Short lap of the woods with J before heading south.

Up Meikle Tap from the east end on the way HFW. Up the long way and straight back down the front. Felt pretty ok on the climb which is the first time in a while. Lovely day but hooching up there - passed 3 people on the way up and another 5 picnicking on the top. Nice.

Running intervals 24:00 [5]

Railway intervals - 8 x 2' + 1'. Wasn't feeling mega up for this, but knew it had to be done. And it felt like hard work. I've been getting lazy - need to remind my body how to train properly again. It will come back if I stick at it.
Felt much more positive after.

To start of intervals and back up the hill - told myself I had to run it and it really wasn't so bad.
