Rowing Machine 9:35 [3] 2.0 km (4:48 / km)
slept:7.5 weight:170.4lbs shoes: 2020 Merrell Trail Glove 5

Kept the pace slow to keep the right knee from complaining. It is sore, but made it through. I was wondering if my recent regimen of ring hanging and pull-ups would make my L arm do any better, and the answer is no. Still feels really weak on the rowing machine. But it's something, anyway. A start.

Yoga 22:00 [3]

The usual routine, with Rhonda. I say usual, but I haven't done it in a while and some of the positions were a bit uncomfortable. Worst was the crescent moon lunge, L leg bent, R leg back and more or less straight. Pressure in R knee was quite uncomfortable, but then on to the next exercise and it seemed ok. But then when it was over the knee gave out a few times just walking around. Strange stuff.
10 AM

Hike 32:00 [1] 1.3 mi (24:37 / mi)
shoes: 2022 Gel Kayano black

Dog loop with R and L. Luna is getting to be better behaved about this sort of thing. Stuck with us the whole time.

Gym 1:00 [3]

1 min hang.
11 AM

Note

An hour or so with loppers and pole saw, cleaning up some of the mess left behind when Zack took down a large white birch that he thought was menacing the trail. Lot more to do.

cycling 36:22 intensity: (6:50 @1) + (29:19 @2) + (13 @3) 9.11 mi (4:00 / mi) +45m 3:56 / mi
ahr:113 max:133

Cut this short. A fair amount of leg pain in the vicinity of the ITB, and gradually getting worse. Otherwise fine conditions. Nice and warm, foliage outstanding.

Gym 1:00 [3]
slept:7.25 weight:171.4lbs

My 1 min hang
8 AM

Gym 30 [3]

1x8 ring pull-ups. Not taking any chances with these if they feel sore at all, wait a day or so. A temptation to do another set, but I can imagine straining something.
4 PM

Note

A little brushmowing in the back field, in Zack's erstwhile wildflower patch which is now devolved into a thick patch of mugwort. Still a few flowers in there, but certainly time to re-start if wildflowers are desired. Maybe 1/2 hour, and that was enough.

Note

My mom's 100th birthday. Of course she is not here to celebrate it.
7 AM

Hike 1:01:55 intensity: (26:51 @0) + (34:34 @1) + (30 @2) 2.16 mi (28:40 / mi) +69m 26:06 / mi
ahr:84 max:110 slept:6.5 weight:171.4lbs shoes: 2023 Salomon Speedcross

With Rhonda and Luna down to the bridge. On the way back re-liberated the boundary stone on the hill near the small clear cut. It had been covered (again) in leaves.

Gym 1:00 [3]

1 min hang
3 PM

cycling (Ebike) 50:54 intensity: (12 @0) + (29:10 @1) + (21:26 @2) + (6 @3) 12.34 mi (4:07 / mi) +65m 4:03 / mi
ahr:106 max:132

From PV to Rte 8 and back with unaccustomed visitor Charles Jr. He was on his way to Rhode Island, stopped for the evening to split up the ride.

Leg sore after, but not terrible.

With Luna and Rhonda at the lake. Greatest discomfort now is in the R quad. Pretty mysterious ailment.
