Running 5:00 [3] 0.45 mi (11:07 / mi)

reunited w paigey

orienteering 10:44 [3] 1.25 mi (8:35 / mi)

first half taken easy second half taken a bit harder than i maybe should have trying to close a two minute gap with svetlana

orienteering 24:10 [3] 1.88 mi (12:51 / mi)

this is the type of orienteering course made by someone who doesn’t like joy :(

waist deep nettle & nonexistent trails — glad i was yogging most of it bc if i had taken it hard i would have been sad about the controls and the mapping

Running 3:21 [3] 0.21 mi (15:57 / mi)

“what if instead of cooling down we just played on the playground”

Running 29:33 [3] 3.0 mi (9:51 / mi)
shoes: super shoes (hot pink)

keeping them easy and short and infrequent before NAOC

rest has not been my forte these last two years so i’m really dialing it back this week to see what fresh legs give me for these races

Note

I've taken my restful boredom and also my inspiration from Keeg to actually put some thought into my training plan for CIM.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1U8Ek_e6Ptm...

My goals include 2 rest days & 2 strength days a week, a 22 mi long run, hills at least once every other week, 25 low mi weeks and 45 peak week.

Good nutrition (eating before and after every run + intra-run nutrition and overall adequate energy intake).

Including a few training races.

Running with others.

Staying healthy & having fun!
