Whiskey, belgian beer and half a bottle of good red wine seemed to help the injury so trotted up t' Old Man with Neil and Wil (and dog of course). Up the miner's track to summit, spoke to some chaps drinking Carling on the top, then down and up to Dow (COLD!) and back along Walna Scar. Niice.

L leg overworking due to not being able to run normally. No real harm done.

A great weekend. Got home to find 3 pairs of new shoes waiting. Get in.

Out with the boys (Todd, Edwards, Petey, Nails and Beinndog) whilst the girls smashed the Langdale 10km. Up the Band to Bowfell (cold!), and then Rossett Pike via Ore Gap before we split and me, Neil and Beinn went to Thunacar Knott. Ben was shattered now and just jogged along behind me before crashing out for the rest of the day!

Managed to stack it on the last bit of flagstones coming down Dungeon Ghyll and got a nice dead leg for my efforts. Classic lack of concentration right at the end of the run. Doh.

Snow fell which made it feckin cold. Just slowly up and over Latrigg. Lovely views as per, and achilles behaved well. Good stuff.

Tits, arse and fannies. Got 10 metres down the road and it was immediately obvious I should not run on this achilles. Accepted I need to sort it. Stop trying to ignore it you bell.
