Orienteering race 48:06 [5] 5.3 km (9:05 / km) +190m 7:42 / km

Nice interesting area, although seeing the fattest, blackest snake I have seen in a long time made me a little more cautious running through the long grass around the creeks.

Started off very badly, when Big Ev caught 2 minutes on me at the first control. Lost another 30 seconds in the control circle at number 2, and had Ev run through. Got 3 alright, but probably lost 4 minutes on number 4. Spent the rest of the course plodding around, and didn't see anyone else on course 1 for the rest of the race.

Orienteering race 19:05 [4] 3.3 km (5:47 / km)

Wasn't really expecting much from this, but this was even worse. Started in the last available start, with only 2 other starters, and didn't even see any people on other loops around the common controls. Stuffed up the long downhill leg really badly, and lost a lot of time piss-farting around making sure I was going to the right controls.

Running slowly and navigating badly for most of the race.

Run 30:00 [3]

Short run after work. Was getting pretty dark, and it felt bloody cold out. Also started to drizzle when I stepped out the door, so it wasn't the nicest run I have done recently.

Orienteering race 39:01 [4] 6.4 km (6:06 / km)

Running a little better today, and didn't blow any huge chunks of time, but was still a little slack around the control circles, and with direction. Hopefully I will have some more strength on the hills in Tassie, or it could be rather interesting.

Orienteering race 13:05 [4] 2.6 km (5:02 / km)

Ran pretty well, but again really struggled up the hills. Hit most of the controls pretty well, but took a pretty round-about route the the first, despite the fact that I ran straight past it on the way to my first control during the morning race.
