Staying a couple of nights in the Cotswolds. Short climb to start with, then flat before a long down hill. Flat again, and then a long steady climb from 4.5 to 6 k, before finishing with a flat section. Found the climb tough, but kept plugging away

Nice to get a run in again. Did a short walk to start with, as a warm-up. Felt a bit plodding and slow, but otherwise all good.

Alternating walk/slow run. Started with 10 minute walk, then a 2 minutes run, followed by 3, 5 and finally 6.
Pleased with this, no issues so should be able to start back again.

Calf is still a bit iffy. Decided that another quieter week was probably a better option than risking a long term issue.
Did 10 minutes on the stepper to supplement the upper body and core routine.

Was going OK until 3 k into the run and suddenly felt a sharp pain in the right calf. Stopped and walked home.

Was relieved to get this in. Had a bad episode yesterday with a kidney stone. I had one about 15 years ago and nothing since. Came on really suddenLy and had to lie down while the drugs kicked in. Plenty of water and it seems to have settled.
Got up this morning and was feeling ok, so gave it a go.
