Wanting an easier run with less climb so just planned a route from the barn. lots of nice trails, a few forest roads, more waterfalls, more private land, but a really nice loop and it didn't feel anywhere near as long as it turned out to be. Again not trying to hard, but an acceptable pace.

Moring ride before Ake and Eulee's wedding stuff. Wind aside (when is it going to stop being windy when I cycle?) it was a really fun route (though the big climb was quite nasty). Took it very steady.

This one of those spots that you drive past regularly and think "must run there someday", well today was that day. It didn't disappoint either, really nice route with some lovely rough mountain trails, waterfalls and crags, ending with the Red Bull Hardline downhill mountain bike route.

Legs were dead from the start so treated this as a trudge rather than a run and didn't try too hard. Forgot to pack any food in my haste to get moving, which I was starting to regret towards the end. Hip complained a bit at the start but wasn't an issue one warmed up.

The Red Bull Hardline (which was in private forestry but had nothing keeping you out), obviously hadn't been ridden since last year and needed a bit of housekeeping, but the trail was truely insane, without having seen the videos I wouldn't have believed that you could get down it on a bike. Completely mad.

Very steady lunchtime trot up Nant y Bedw - decided to mix it up a bit and went anti-clockwise. Hip moaning a bit for the first time in a while but was okay once warmed up.

SWOC Park Series - Cosmeston
Quite good fun as no roads, although there were plenty of trails. Managed to avoid all the thick hedges/vegetation although that resulted in a few non-optimal route choices. Legs had nothing in them after yesterday evening and felt like I was treading water - especially on the climb through long grass.

MDC from Pontypool. Very muggy evening but dry and clear. 7 in the unsteady group tonight and little opportunity for rest. Had to work very hard on parts of this and struggled on the final bit of the climb. Picked it up again on the descent but heart rate still way up. Good fun but going to be tired tomorrow.
