Running hills 1:00:00 [3]

Moderate intensity run with a few surges on the hills. 4 Airlie St hills and 2 killer loops. I felt good and went to the front with 2 others on the hills and put in quite a gap. We then had to wait for the pack to catch up again after the hills.

Running intervals 56:00 [4]

3 x 2000m intervals at approx 5km race pace. 2min recoveries.
7:04 (uphill)
6:38 (downhill)
7:01 (undulating)
It was quite hard work! I was about 6th in the pack for the first, but finished 4th and 4th as a few others at my speed tired.

Running hills 1:04:00 [3]

Monday night run at Liggo's to celebrate his 40th.
I was the only under 35 at training tonight, but the quality was good. With Warren getting keen again, and Easter fast approaching, the speed was on tonight. Many hills and a fast pace made it a good quality session tonight.

Running hills 1:30:00 [3]

A hilly run around Kew up and down every hill that I could find.
I looked for Liggo kayaking on the Yarra, but I couldn't see him. He's either improved his skills and had taken off upstream, or had sunk to the bottom of the river.
I then spent a few hours at the pool with the kids, where the cool water helped my legs recover.

Running long 1:47:00 [2]

Long run with Liggo around Yarra Bend. The time seemed to pass quite quickly on this run, and I didn't even notice that it was such a long run.

Running 55:00 [2]

An easy session through the Botanical Gardens in an attempt to find more shade and be close to numerous drink fountains.
My legs felt pretty tired for most of the run today.

Running race (5000m) 16:58 [5] 5.0 km (3:24 / km)

Midday Milers Time Trials - for seedings for Barwon Heads Relay in March.
I wasn't particularly rested or excited to run a time trial, and the warm up was only fair. I also hadn't done much speed work lately, so this was mostly an exploratory run to see how I'm travelling at the moment.
However, I was quite surprised with a reasonably good time, and even kilometre splits.

Orienteering hills (Street O) 37:00 [4] * 9.0 km (4:07 / km)
spiked:18/18c shoes: Nike Zoom Air Elite 07 #5

Street Orienteering at Greensborough.
About 9km of steep streets and parks. There wasn't much competition, so I didn't have to push too hard to win comfortably. I wasn't ever intending to go full speed after a time trial at lunch time.
I think I picked a pretty good route and finished before most of the B and C course runners as well. Those guys certainly slow down a lot when it gets steep.
