Cycling (MTB) warm up/down 1:20:00 [3]
shoes: SH-M120B

ride over to majura, a few laps warm up then ride home. very cold on the way home...

Cycling (MTB) race (Dirt Crit) 15:00 [3]
ahr:163 max:176 shoes: SH-M120B

6 laps, got a bad start and had trouble being stuck behind people. most of the course was singletrack, with just a short bit of firetrail up to the finish line. I tried passing the 3 guys in front of me but couldnt get in front on the firetrail where they were smashing it, and had no chance on the singetrack so i had to roll along behind them. got one of them in the sprint to the line so finished 4th, cooper was a fair way ahead of our bunch...

i lost a contact lens in the race, thats only the 2nd time its ever happened (the first was the middle qualifier at woc2005). it really f*cks up my depth perception!

Note

If you havent already, get Saul Williams new album, Trent Reznor had a lot to do with it - more than anything since Antichrist Superstar apparently. Its the new thing against record lables - pay some small fee if you think its worth it otherwise get it for free...

Note

when the racewalking world record holder is in mortal danger, does he walk or run?

Cycling (Road) 2:05:00 [3] 57.0 km (27.4 kph)
shoes: SH-R130S

cruised out to stromlo with handsome pete to race the crit, but it had rained and the track was wet and racing was canceled. so smashed a few laps then rode up stromlo and back home via coppins crossing.

Cycling (Road) 3:45:00 [3] 111.0 km (29.6 kph)
shoes: SH-R130S

Rolled around the Happy Valley loop (Bright - Ovens - Rosewhite - Mt Beauty - Bright) with Reubster. Really struggled into a headwind up the Kiewa Valley towards Mt Beauty, but Reubster struggled a bit more... Pancakes at the Cosy Kangaroo after with a massive jug of maple syrup and an espresso really hit the spot and finished off a good week or so of training (and work).

Cycling (Road) 3:30:00 [3] 110.0 km (31.4 kph) +1500m
ahr:117 shoes: SH-R130S

Reubster and Sheppermans Tour of Bright Stage 1, Mt Hotham. NSW Stinger and Duncan Merida came along for this one. Rolled up to Harrietville and climbed up Mt Hotham, got within a couple of km of the top and hit a wall of icy wind, snow and ice on the ground and some real exposed road to come. so we turned around and rolled back into Harrietville for coffee and pushed it steadily into Bright for more food...

Cycling (Road) 1:10:00 [3] 37.0 km (31.7 kph)
shoes: SH-R130S

Reubster and Sheppermans Tour of Bright Stage 2. Warm up down to Porepunkah and back then did the Time Trial up to the end of the Wandiligong road and back into Bright (19km in 29mins with 150m climb). Feeling habsolutely stuffed, heavy legs and really desperate for a beer. Fortunately we'd planned to finish up at the Bright Brewery so after spinning for a few mins we met Jo and sank some sweet sweet wheat beer.
