Run with Angela from Alva Glen up Wood Hill, Ben Ever, Ben Cleuch and back via Ben Ever and the Nebit. Snow lying above 350m, fairly significant on the tops. Found the first climb tough, lack of fitness! Not too bad after that but snow was hard work. Quite wild on top of Ben Cleuch with driving gritty snow. Great to be out in proper wintery conditions.

Run from the boulder round to the Hymans knoll climb, over Whinny, down to Duddingston, up MFD to Crow & Nether then back to the boulder via the tourist descent. Took the climbs fairly steady and stretched the legs on tourist descent though paths quite muddy/slippy. Nice & sunny and hill quite quiet. Start of the C5 training.

Run down to Warriston, wind assisted.

Session out & back from Warriston - 2 x 5mins, 2 x 3mins, 4 x 1mins (90sec between sets, 60secs between reps - easy jog recoveries). Quite wild weather with wind and rain though cycle path was relatively sheltered. Reps on the way out tough into the wind and slightly uphill. Solo session and went better than could have expected.
