Tour de Peninsula #6 - Akaroa (Gardens of Tane)
Bit of a shaky start to the first control but after that I was running well. Slowed up a bit in the gardens at the end as it was quite tricky with lots of paths everywhere. 1st place...16secs in front of Marion, 35secs Immy.

Tour de Peninsula #7 - Lincoln University
Knew I was about 30 seconds behind Immy for the overall title, so gave it absolutely everything to try to catch her. First race all weekend where I felt like I was back to my normal running speed and flowing through the controls nicely. Had soo much fun! Ended up winning by almost 1.30mins!! So claimed the overall yellow singlet as well :)

Tour de Peninsula #4 - Diamond Harbour
Knew this was going to be a tough race since Chris Forne had set it, but wasn't expecting it to be quite this long! Really struggled to run in the terrain and was favouring my ankle a lot, specially on the rocks. Big mistakes to 5 (climbed down the cliff instead of going round the rocks), 8 (wrong direction out of 7), 16 (missed first track).
2nd place, 2mins down on Renee.

Tour de Peninsula #5 - Little River
Head to head race starting at the same time as Renee. Had a lot of fun in this race, and felt like I could run at normal speed again. Ankle felt fine as it was mostly on concrete or flat grass. 1st place by about 40 seconds over Kayla and Immy.

Tour de Peninsula #1 - Ferrymead
Pretty scrappy race, just never got ahead with the navigation and felt pretty exhausted running-wise. Lots of small mistakes but big ones on 6, 10 and 16. But finished strongly in the last loop to overtake Renee and Marion for the win.

Good race navigationally, just taking it super careful on the downhills/contouring with my ankle. One big mistake to number 12 where I came into the control from above the cliff instead of below it. 4th place behind Dani (1min), Kayla and Immy (30sec).

Shouldn't really have done this race cos was going so slowly across the rocks trying not to hurt my ankle. Ended up mispunching too cos somehow I ended up too high on #4 at the boys control...knew it was the wrong number but punched it anyway cos I was certain I was in the right place and already spent over 5mins searching for it.
