Event: O-Ringen

Trail running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 3.8 km (7:54 / km)
shoes: VJ Falcon (2006:1)

O-ringen, day 1 - a long way to the start on an already hot day even with an early start in the first start group. Walking the first 15 min´s and then running the rest - I had made it a bit tight by staying too long at the camp-site before leaving so I was in a real hurry by the end. Arrived at the start for the 9:47 call-up, my start time was 9:46 so I just passed one rope in the grid and got going on the next signal.

Orienteering race (74th place/192) 56:18 [3] **** 5.1 km (11:02 / km)

Orienteering 34:15 [2] **** 3.0 km (11:25 / km)

A very easy jog on Mikkelberget - one of the training maps for O-ringen. It was interesting and - as it turned out later - useful to get a feel of both the terrain and the mapping standard.

Road running warm up/down 8:00 [2] 1.0 km (8:00 / km)
shoes: VJ Falcon (2006:1)

To the start of the orienteering race.

Orienteering race (13th place/26) 50:04 [4] *** 4.8 km (10:26 / km)
ahr:139 max:155 spiked:11/14c shoes: VJ Falcon (2006:1)

Ankarsrums OK, Tjust 2-dagars, day 1.
A semi-decent run, but I missed too much on controls #6 and #8 + some hesitation at #5. Still slow running - Kenneth J in 2nd place caught up 9 min´s by #8, but there was no way I could stay with his pace and I tried only half-heartedly...
