Hike (Map Skills) 1:51:07 [2] ** 7.4 mi (15:01 / mi) +304ft 14:27 / mi
shoes: Altras- 3sum

Mapping/Cartography on the run and hike. Those trails are a maze! A great place to work on skills.

Snowshoe (Snowshoe with Kim) 2:10:09 [3] *** 4.4 mi (29:35 / mi) +955ft 24:32 / mi
shoes: Asics (NeonOrange)

Snowshoed with Kim in Frisco. 6-12 inches of fresh powder over deep base. Fun, but things started looking sketchy for avy potential going up Mt. Royal, so we bailed and did the trail that took us to Peaks Trail. Good warm up for what was to come. I stayed surprisingly in a good temperature. Fleece, thick pants, rain jacket, rain pants, tall gaiters, gloves (got sopping wet), buffsx2, green stocking cap. 29degrees but felt warmer. No sun.

11 AM

Snowshoe (snowshoe w/ Julian&Danell) 2:23:24 [3] *** 7.9 mi (18:09 / mi) +782ft 16:36 / mi
slept:9.0 shoes: Asics (NeonOrange)

Snowshoe with Danelle and Julian. Great LSD, breaking trail. A fun time. Temperature was great...didn't even need gloves! We ran the last bit once we got back on a road.
3 PM

Snowshoe (Snowshoe with Danelle) 1:31:09 [3] *** 4.0 mi (22:47 / mi) +908ft 18:45 / mi
shoes: Asics (NeonOrange)

Snowshoe with Danelle. But, skier told us it was all packed down so we left the shoes in the car....but we post holed on occasion on the packed trail, and went off trail to complete the loop. Fun run with her in a beautiful area. Would like to go back to finish the full loop some time soon.

Bike (Technical Day - Redrocks) 50:00 [3] **** 6.5 mi (7:42 / mi) +900ft 6:48 / mi
slept:11.0 (sick)

Still sick, but I stayed home and slept 'til noon...and then thought I'd try to work out. I was pretty puny, but glad I got out anyway. I did some sections of technical trail and did those back and forth...all the while trying to get some video footage for the little training videos we're supposed to be making, so Strava skipped some of my run time since my camera/phone was sitting still on rocks. Either way, I wasn't too impressive since I was puny, but it was still good practice on some really tough stuff. I figure technical while sick is kind of like technical trails after a day's worth of fatigue or something. Who knows. It was still nice to take a sick day and get out during daylight hours.

Run (Waterfall Loop & Fall) 14:05 [2] **** 1.1 mi (12:48 / mi) +222ft 10:45 / mi
(sick) shoes: Altras- 3sum

well, it was supposed to be a technical trail run, and I guess a fall verifies that I found a technical trail. Thankfully I put one final arm/face/leg-saving step in as I was falling which gave me just enough momentum to miss the giant rock I was heading head first into. Whew!

I was having a hard time breathing with the sickness...but it was still nice to be outside. My lungs hurt a bit afterward, but oh well. I kept it pretty low intensity to try and save the lungs.
2 PM

Bike (Ride Home with James) 26:03 [2] 5.7 mi (4:34 / mi) +134ft 4:28 / mi
(sick)

Rode home. Found a new trail in section 16, rode down the new stairs that got put in...bumpy but fun. Dropped down to Bear Creek Rd via Stephanie's trail....they've done a lot of good work on that trail since I rode it last. Bear creek/26th to Midland & home...easy, but wore the buff over the mouth all the way since my lungs were sore.

Note
slept:8.0 (sick) (rest day)

I am sick, but I also didn't have time to workout today because it was James' birthday and I had a few errands to run before his party. I ended up swapping workout days and turning today into a rest day anyway because I feel poopy. Darn cold. It came on strong!

Computrainer/Trainer Bike Session (Trainer Intervals) 36:00 [4] 8.0 mi (4:30 / mi)
slept:7.5

Went to Accolade Fitness cause it turned cold again and I couldn't stomach the idea of riding in it :) Woohoo! Warmth!

I did a warm up, then 4 minute hard intervals, 2 minute rests (x3) & cool down. Tried to really push and focus on sustained power. The trainer bike is just a spin bike, though so it doesn't give me mileage or power outputs.
6 PM

Strength/Weights (Kayak Workout & Weights) 35:00 [4]

Kayak Weights Workout: weighted pulley things @ gym = 10 minutes of paddling intervals. 30 sec weighted, fast paddling (30 pounds), 1 minute 20pound weight paddling rests, x4....tuckered me out!

Then, did weighted paddle "sprints."

Kayak muscle weights, legs, abs & back.

Gonna hurt in the morn! Yeah!

Yoga/Stretching (Stretch ) 10:00 [1]

Stretch on the floor. oooooooo

Treadmill (Funky Treadmill) 30:00 [3] 3.2 mi (9:22 / mi)
slept:7.5 shoes: Hoka's - Old

Run on treadmill at work at good clip. A smidge faster than comfortable. But not sure how much mileage or speed since it's on the treadmill that doesn't tell me anything. I'll record just 3 miles so I don't take too much credit.

Strength/Weights (Abs) 10:00 [3]

Abs ap on phone.
