road cycling 1:35:26 [3] 39.33 km (2:26 / km) +555m 2:16 / km
shoes: ORBEA e-bike

Anti-clockwise around the Uriarra -Cotter loop - peloton of 1. Still testing the main bike battery - stayed on the lowest power setting (100 watts) and ended the ride with 70% battery left - impressive as did 555 metres of climb. So using up 100% of the main battery should do close to 1700 metres of climb. Very pleasant riding conditions even if I went up the hills slower than usual (as only used lowest power selection). Max speed 62 km/h.

Arboretum coffee ride via zoo single tracks and Wide Brown Land. Back via Dairy Farmers Hill and the pines. Tracks are firming up now the rain has stopped for a few days. Fantastic weather today = blue sky, zephyr breeze and warm enough. Peloton of 2 + 4 other soles at coffee.

Took the Orbea for a spin to test the new range extender battery which looks discreetly like a water bottle. It recharges the main battery as you ride. Got around 460 metres climb on 50% of the discharge from the extender. Main battery in the meantime had risen from 76% at the start to 90% at the end. Will need both batteries in the upcoming Giro as it has 2700 metres of climb. Rode to top of Stromlo where I ran into Brad (not literally) so rode with him down to the pumping station on the Cotter and then back up the climb to home. Windy day.
