Early start for a tour de ridges ride before the heat of the day - due to be 30C here today! Given our wives are having a sojourn at the coast this weekend we had more time which was converted into a nice breakfast at the Mawson coffee stop - will post a pic of breakfast on my 'Foodbook' site when I recall how to upload photos from my phone to it. Great riding weather - little breeze and sunny.

Gym junkie 1:00:00 [3]

First time at a circuit class at Southern Cross Gym in Woden (they own my local gym franchise and for $2.50 a week extra I can also go to this gym which has a lot of classes). Consisted of a 20 minute spin class and the rest using various gym equipment plus some floor exercises. Did the 9am class - I think I had the least grey hair, other than the instructors. Spin part was good but the other part was a bit pedestrian (or I was a bit slack and did not push myself enough). This is part of my new secret training plan for the Tassie O events.

Yoga 1:00:00 [3]

Shortened session today as some gym hierachy said that future sessions should only go for an hour - claimed area of the gym used for yoga was not for 'long' group classes - but there is usually no one waiting to use the space in any case! Guess it means a longer coffee stop afterwards.

Ride around lake as usual but at a quicker pace this week. Cool to start with but nice and sunny after the coffee stop. Great riding conditions.

Yoga 1:30:00 [3]

New pose today - "happy baby" . Plus bought out the cylinder of death beforehand as legs are still sore/tight after all the sprint racing in the SW of WA. Interesting how a change of surface (sprint races were often on sealed/concrete paths) and higher than usual speed has such an effect.
