Cycling (Back Home) 29:00 [3] 11.5 km (2:31 / km)

From Paddington.
1 PM

Orienteering race (City Race) 52:13 [4] *** 7.6 km (6:52 / km)
shoes: Adidas Adistar Salvations

Cambridge City Race. Just 10 seconds behind Matthias and around 30 seconds behind Brooner. And beat Dan, Scott, Ian and various others. Finished 14th of 70, winner was 48:32 - not far away! No real mistakes, a few wobbles and pauses to spot good routes.

Actual distance run was 11.3km.

Enjoyed running into King's College and through Clare College in particular. It's great that we can get access to such places for orienteering and it's a real shame that some competitors go too fast through them, or across OOB lawns, and potentially cause problems for future access.

On the Water (Punting) 25:00 [2] 1.0 km (25:00 / km)

In Cambridge! Along the Backs. Absolutely lovely. Lots of nice bridges to duck under. Had two shifts of about 10-15 minutes each. Arms sore now.

Note

I appear to have been elected JOK President. No idea what happens now...
