ahr:160 max:176 shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (2)

Started out with my new pair of inov8 orocs that gave me blisters last spring, so I tried stretching them out to try and break them in. Even with Leukoplast, blister socks and blister stickers they were still too tight. Even when they got wet. Urg! They lasted about 7 mins before I stopped back at home and grabbed my old orocs. These are definitely way too old, they feel so worn down, but it was icy and muddy out there and I didn’t want to die. Knee a little stiff and lower leg not happy with the lack of support in these shoes.

Anyone have suggestions on some o shoes with studs that have a wide toe-box???

Got my orthotics adjusted to help with some pain I’ve been having in my big toes, plus some other adjustments too. Felt great!

Running hills 26:00 intensity: (4 @2) + (11:00 @3) + (14:46 @4) + (10 @5) 5.3 km (4:55 / km) +85m 4:33 / km

26mins continual hills on Ravine Road. Didn’t want anything steeper incase it bugged my knee. Feeling sleepy today but it was feeling like spring which was lovey. The headwind going uphill wasn’t so lovely.
Knee only sore in the last 5mins.

Running warm up/down 10:00 intensity: (4:00 @2) + (6:00 @3) 1.75 km (5:42 / km) +2m 5:41 / km

Lil run with some xc ski team friends! Part icy/muddy trials, part road. Knee wasn’t really an issue until the last 10-15mins or so. A little stiff afterwards and quad is tight. Roll roll roll.

Feeling a lot better, head still a little bleh but otherwise feeling good.

Easy run to see if I could clear my nose up a little bit. It helped but still have a bad sinus headache.

Gorgeous sunny day but a dreaded east wind :(
Debated going out further on the ice than I did but because it was so sunny I decided not to. I’m officially ready for spring.
