Trail Running 1:40:16 [3] 7.59 mi (13:13 / mi) +1670ft 10:56 / mi
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3 (Blue #2)

Cascades Frozen adventure run with Zitch. Parked up near Mtn Lake. Couldn't drive any closer so ran instead. Tried to cut straight to the falls through 1 foot+ of snow. Not so bad once I found some old roads. Cliffed out about 100 feet downstream from the falls. Had to back track and cross just above them.

The falls were awesome. Best I have ever seen. Lots of people there, some commenting on my shorts and T-shirt asking if I was from Canada (Temps were in the 40's errr 0's). We took some pics and then left. Had a bit of trouble following the trail back as I have never been this way and the map on my phone disappeared. We eventually found our way back to the road and the car. Started raining when we got back.

Run with Zitch around snowy Homeplace. Mostly running through 4". PC swimming hole was frozen except for the falls leading into it. Saw some interesting animal tracks. Turkeys maybe?

Wore gore tex socks which seemed to work well during except for when the seam was right along my arch. Required fairly regular adjustment or a better job putting it on. When I took the sock off I realized my sweat had just stayed in my sock similar to what happens with the jackets. Interesting test though.
