Field of Mars/North Ryde - SVM
Feeling less than inspired and heavy legged to begin with which thankfully passed as I warmed up. Couldn't work out why I had less points than P as we had done a similar route. Looking through the splits looks as if c26 (30 points) didn't register, it was on a busy road junction so may have focused on crossing that rather than checking the SIAC had registered :(
9 AM
Running 44:35 [3] 6.05 km (7:22 / km) +174m 6:27 / km
ahr:159 max:179 shoes: Brooks GTS22
Was planning an out and back into the park but bumped into Stix at Fullers Bridge so changed plans to a sociable Fairylands.
10 AM
Running warm up/down 5:41 [2] 0.76 km (7:28 / km) +16m 6:46 / km
ahr:141 max:156 shoes: Brooks GTS22
Orienteering race 21:49 [3] 2.31 km (9:27 / km)
ahr:150 max:168 shoes: Brooks GTS22
NBSC Balgowlah Boys - Long line 1
Mp, another case of running straight past an easy control (c6) when planning ahead. A couple of suboptimal route choices meant I would have been a fair way down.
Orienteering race 20:14 [3] 1.88 km (10:45 / km)
ahr:160 max:177 shoes: Brooks GTS22
NBSC Balgowlah Boys - long line 2
Better than my first run, course may have been a bit easier or may have been a case of knowing where things were.
