spiked:20/22c (injured)

Irish champs long distance on Brockagh

Ran M40L, up against yesterdays M21 elite winner Bill Edwards so was aiming for second! ran as clean a race as possible 2 slight misses of around 20 - 30 seconds the rest was down to speed (or lack of)

Nice course with an interesting mix of legs.
lots of rock detail and little contour.

Bill ran 58mins, was happy to be runner-up to a former world champ

Orienteering race 1:04:48 [4] **** 8.75 km (7:24 / km) +540m 5:40 / km
spiked:17/22c (injured)

Day 2 in the Mournes - Meelmore, got a lift with Declan and Ciara.

Brown course - 7.9km and 440m climb on paper - I did 540m!
Thanks for the Hill climbing practice again Des!

It was a good run all the same and a cracker day, pushed hard all the way and only lost 2-3mins max. Had a young German for company all the way he started 1min behind and ould not shake him out in the open.

Next run out is the M40 long on Sunday - I love all this orienteering with dry feet :)

Orienteering race 46:06 [5] **** 6.3 km (7:19 / km) +325m 5:49 / km
spiked:12/15c (injured)

Midweek event at Slievenagore - lots of people staying for JK/IOC there.
cracker sunny day. organised by NWOC and planned by DF

DF is a good mate and I'm not one to give off but...
Its a good job I don't mind going up hills (as long as there is more than one control at the top!)

It was a good fun run all the same and even better that I had nothing to do after/before.

Jack was 3 mins faster.
Harry lost time at 11 but ran well other than that.
