Running 26:04 [3] 5.08 km (5:08 / km) +30m 4:59 / km

Fine and cool after the day's pathetic snow. Repeated last Monday's route through Ravelston & Murrayfield but timed it this week to see if we get quicker through time. It was getting a little icy at the high point round Mary Erskine's and back throgh Murrayfield. No after affects from yesterday. Can't go out on Wednesday sadly as parent's night.

Orienteering 1:16:19 [3] *** 9.5 km (8:02 / km) +90m 7:40 / km

Dry, windy and cool, snow shower after I had finished. Wet underfoot off the paths (or very wet around control 17). Had a good run but very easy and definitely a runner's course.

Orienteering (EOT, Castlelaw) 50:00 [3] 4.0 km (12:30 / km) +250m 9:31 / km
shoes: Montrail Highlanders

Sleet and snow but not too heavy. Really wet underfoot in places and icy also; very cold feet. We had a map memory exercise starting from different controls so as not to trip over each other. We used the permanent markers of the new permanent course. Quite a lot of ascent and criss crossing the area so quite interesting to see things from different directions. To Les and Margaret for social afterwards.
