Note
(rest day)

doing nothing today because of my shins and left ankle. i know my ankle is because of steeple, but my shins have only gotten bad since we, as a team, have started half@$$ing stretches. from now on, i'm going to take the time to do it properly, even if the rest of you aren't. i also want to start doing iron crosses and scorpions again, for the fun of it.

Orienteering race (Orange) 41:18 [4] *** 3.8 km (10:52 / km)
spiked:9/9c slept:9.0 shoes: New Balance- 769

Only made one real mistake, between 2 and 3, but it was a big'un. Because of it, I ended up finding 4 and working back to 3. That's where I ran into Zach Lyons for the first time since the beginning. After that we were sort of running together inadvertently. We chose different routes, (I tried to stick to trails as much as possible for fear of getting lost again) but we always ended up reaching the controls within a minute of each other. I ended up beating him by like 20 seconds.

Bottom line, he's a way better navigator, but my legs are longer.

Running (Easy) warm up/down 31:00 [2]

10 minute warm up before the event
~21 minutes with Zach retrieving controls and running straight into a swamp.

Note

first time doing an orange!

Steeplechase race 12:12 [5] 3.0 km (4:04 / km)

I was yawning before the race even started and that Irondequoit kid cut me off at the barrier, but I'm happy with a PR

Steeplechase (practice) 35:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance- 769

Some hurdling action, water pit domination, and balance beam gymnastics to prepare KJ2 for Hilton.

Note
(rest day)

So my ******* driver's ed ran til well after 6:30 and my mom apparently doesn't know where the Gates track is (and neither do I,) so I couldn't run the meet. Then I drive to the track, thinking "Golly, maybe I shall hurdle some steeples for Friday", but the freaking Titans were having a meet.

...I was so upset, I went to Peaches Cafe.

Because Buffem said it's delicious.

And I ate. A lot.

Buffem was right.

Note

I eat when I'm upset.

Running (Easy) 42:00 [2]

super easy cos my legs kill. klehr said i can run steeple on friday! (even though i'll be destroyed..)

Note

i may or may not make the meet tomorrow because i'm not even going to be getting out of driver's ed until 6-6.15

Running (Easy) warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Intervals (6x400) 7:53 [3] 2.4 km (3:17 / km)
shoes: New Balance- 769

I'm really unsure of the times because I gave AJ my watch and half the time nobody was checking theirs for me, but I felt sluggish so here's my guesses:
75-80-79-73-82-84
This is really bad, Coach Klehr wanted it to be 65-70

Note

I'm really eager to train for and regularly run steeplechase, but I'm guessing my time from Saturday precludes that, correct?
